The market for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) that primarily include battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) has been rapidly growing in California for the past few years. Given the targets for PEV penetration in the state, it is important to have a better understanding of the pattern of technology diffusion and the factors that are driving the process.

This dataset presents results from a survey of 906 FCV and 12,910 BEV households in California.

To understand potential pathways to GHG reductions, this project developed the U.S. Transportation Transitions Model (US TTM) to study various scenarios of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) market penetration in the U.S.

This data from the Cost of Plug-In EV Ownership project was collected from academic research, industry technical reports, and vehicle technology data maintained by the EPA and the Alternative Fuel Data Center. The household-level data used for market segmentation is obtained from the 2019 California Vehicle Survey hosted by NREL.

The European Union has proposed recycled content standards (RCSs) to help drive a circular battery ecosystem. This analysis calculates feasible RCSs for the US based on future sale projections, techno-economic assessment, life cycle assessment, and material flow analysis.

This data supports the project of the same name, which explored how locating charging facilities at California's highway rest stops might impact electricity demand, grid operation, and integration of renewables like solar and wind into California's energy mix.

This dataset is from a usability survey with vehicle cost calculators (VCC) users who tested three VCCs and provide feedback on their usability.
