electric vehicle (EV)

Dataset: Modeling dynamic processes in the California ZEV market (2014-2016)

Research Product Type
Data
The market for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) that primarily include battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) has been rapidly growing in California for the past few years. Given the targets for PEV penetration in the state, it is important to have a better understanding of the pattern of technology diffusion and the factors that are driving the process.

Dataset: Total Cost of Ownership of Plug-in Electric Vehicles Calculations Data sheet

Research Product Type
Data
This data from the Cost of Plug-In EV Ownership project was collected from academic research, industry technical reports, and vehicle technology data maintained by the EPA and the Alternative Fuel Data Center. The household-level data used for market segmentation is obtained from the 2019 California Vehicle Survey hosted by NREL.

Dataset: VCC User Survey Results

Research Product Type
Data
This dataset is from a usability survey with vehicle cost calculators (VCC) users who tested three VCCs and provide feedback on their usability.

Deep Learning-Based Optimization of Eco-Driving Strategies with Connected and Autonomous Electric Vehicles on Transportation Networks

  • Principal Investigator Fengxiang Qiao, Ph.D.
  • Texas Southern University
This project will help both transportation and environmental agencies at all levels, and car manufacturers, to understand the design, operation, and impacts of optimal eco-driving strategies. The project will provide urgent science and test-based input to inform policy and practice development.
