This report presents a new method to estimate cyclist and pedestrian activity at the census tract level of geography based on a combination of travel survey, census, and land use data.
This research will implement a commuter survey targeting at NWC Express Lane users and non-users to identify factors influencing observed travel behavioral changes, which includes shifts in commute travel routes and changes in shared ride activities.
This research will develop a comprehensive list of features and types that should be inventoried through interaction with complete streets and asset management experts, and review of the methods and technologies currently used for complete streets features.
In this study, the research team evaluated numerous differences between the two surveys to assess whether the changes in biking, walking, and transit use within California are likely to be real, or the result of methodological differences between the CHTS and the NHTS.
