This study aims to first evaluate support for various Mileage based user fee programs in a diverse range of community types, including small and rural communities that have not been the focus of prior research.

This project will develop a certificate program that focuses on educating participants on foundational knowledge in traditional and energy energy systems, with the program being informed by an assessment of workforce needs related to freight and transit sectors and related energy systems.

In this project, CSULB will develop a series of case studies designed to evaluate the impacts of freight-related environmental policies. The team will then produce brief videos to accompany the case studies research, in order to reach a wider audience.

The CSULB Center for International Trade and Transportation (CITT) will write a white paper on introducing GIS technology to high school students. CITT will then develop the introductory GIS workshop for high school students with a focus on sustainable transportation.

This project will package research findings on machine vision algorithms for vehicle identification into a deployable, open-source Automated Fleet Classification Toolkit for practitioners and researchers.
