Event Overview

Freight will have an expanding role in shaping the economy, environment, and communities in the Inland Empire and greater Southern California region. Freight transportation is estimated to grow by 80 percent between 1995 and 2020 according to the Southern California Association of Governments with the Federal Highway Administration forecasting even higher growth rates. The region is also seeing an influx of large footprint warehouses and increased truck traffic, which are generating pushback and concern from residents.
