Data Dashboard and Capacity Building for Electric Carsharing in Underserved BIPOC Communities

This project addresses the need to increase access to grant funds to develop electric vehicle (EV) carsharing in underserved communities, particularly in rural and suburban areas. EV carsharing is known to have a great role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs), in the above-mentioned areas especially (accordingly, government is increasing the funding for electric carsharing). This translational research project was specifically designed by the research team to engage communities interested in developing electric carsharing programs through: (1) information sharing via a website, data dashboard, or other medium that is conducive to informing and engaging stakeholders; and (2) using this information in in-person through grass-roots project development. The researchers, in this project, combined the Míocar case study information with their knowledge of previously studied reports as well as new analyses and interviews.
