This project bridges the gap between predicted and measured near-road PM2.5 from vehicle emissions, by creating and evaluating the effectiveness of two correction modules. Module 1 recalibrates the emission factor from portable emissions measurement systems and dynamometers, and module 2 accounts for the gas-particle partitioning of the vehicle organic aerosol. Using the correction modules with vehicle emission simulators will allow for a better agreement between the predicted near-road PM2.5 to the measured near-road PM2.5 due to vehicle emissions.
