Bio

Sydney Cliff serves as the Research Program Manager for the National Center for Sustainable Transportation. She manages the full project portfolios of the National Center for Sustainable Transportation (NCST), Pacific Southwest Region University Transportation Center (PSR), and the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis (ITS-Davis) Senate Bill 1 (SB 1)-funded research program, throughout the entire project life cycles. She administers research grant calls for proposals, coordinates external review efforts, and facilitates a wide array of program management activities in the areas of research, education, engagement, and outreach for the NCST and PSR centers. Sydney also contributes to proposal administration and program management activities for the ITS-Davis SB 1 research program. Sydney also assists with the Center for Emissions Reduction, Resiliency, and Climate Equity in Transportation (CERRCET).

Prior to her role at NCST, Sydney was a Transportation Planner with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Division of Local Assistance, where she managed state-funded capital rail and mass transportation projects. 

Sydney earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Davis, in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. During her time at UC Davis, she worked as a Program Management Assistant for NCST, and participated in the NCST Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship.
