Sara Schremmer

Sara is the Policy Director for the NCST and is responsible for executing engagement strategies to connect transportation research to appropriate policy audiences for greatest impact. Previously, she was the Director of Operations and Engagement at the Policy Institute for Energy, Environment, and the Economy housed at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis (ITS-Davis). 

Prior to joining ITS-Davis in 2018, Sara served for three years as the Deputy Director for the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts, where she led statewide legislative engagement and capacity building efforts. Her policy experience began as the National Campaigns Coordinator for the climate advocacy organization 350.org. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on Sustainability and Social Justice from San Francisco State University, and graduated with distinction from Humboldt State University with a M.A. in Sociology.
