Bio

Ryan is a graduate student researcher at the Policy Institute and a Ph.D. student in the Geography Graduate Group at UC Davis. His work so far at UC Davis focuses on the nexus between planning policies and housing affordability as they relate to transportation access, zoning, and natural hazard risk exposure. In addition to his research at Davis, Ryan also serves as adjunct faculty at Woodland Community College and California State University, Chico, where he teaches a wide variety of courses in geography and the social sciences. Ryan holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in addition to B.A. degrees in Geography and Economics from California State University, Chico.
